Prime Minister Nabbanja Donates Tricycle to Kagadi Town Council to Keep Kagadi Clean

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, has donated a tricycle to Kagadi Town Council to support solid waste management and strengthen efforts to keep Kagadi Town clean.
The tricycle was handed over during a function held at Classic Hotel in Kakumiro District, attended by local government leaders, political leaders, technical staff and other well-wishers.
The donation is expected to enhance the Town Council's capacity to collect and transport garbage from different areas of Kagadi Town. It is part of efforts to improve sanitation, protect the environment and promote a clean and healthy urban community.
Speaking during the function, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness in urban areas. She called upon residents, business owners and other stakeholders to take responsibility for proper waste disposal and to work closely with the Town Council in keeping Kagadi clean.
The Mayor of Kagadi Town Council, Hon. Kasaija William Mugenyi, expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for the donation, describing the tricycle as valuable support to the Town Council's sanitation and waste-management activities.
The Mayor noted that maintaining a clean town requires collective responsibility and called upon the people of Kagadi to cooperate with the Town Council by disposing of waste properly and avoiding dumping garbage in undesignated areas.
The event was attended by the Kagadi District Chairperson, District Speaker, Councillors representing Kagadi Town Council, Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Town Clerk, technical staff and other well-wishers.
The Town Council leadership welcomed the donation and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening waste management and sanitation services across Kagadi Town.
The tricycle is expected to play an important role in improving garbage collection and ensuring that public spaces, roadsides and other areas remain clean.
The Kagadi Town Council leadership has therefore called upon residents to embrace the “Keep Kagadi Clean” campaign and work together with the Council to create a clean, healthy and attractive town for residents, businesses and visitors.
A Clean Kagadi is a Shared Responsibility
Kagadi Town Council appreciates Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja for the generous support and remains committed to working with all stakeholders towards a cleaner, healthier and more organised Kagadi Town.
