Uganda Police Force Joins Kagadi Town Council in Greening of Kagadi Town Campaign
Kagadi, Uganda — The Uganda Police Force has actively participated in the Greening of Kagadi Town Campaign, demonstrating its commitment to environmental conservation, community cleanliness and the creation of a greener and more sustainable urban environment. The campaign, organized by the Director Seyaya Courts, brought together stakeholders and members of the community to plant trees and promote environmental awareness within Kagadi Town. The Uganda Police Force, through the Kagadi Police leadership and officers, actively took part in the tree-planting exercise, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in protecting the environment. During the exercise, the District Police Commander (DPC) commended the organizers for initiating the campaign and encouraged residents, institutions and businesses within Kagadi Town to actively participate in environmental protection. “The Uganda Police Force is pleased to be part of this important initiative. Greening Kagadi is not only about planting trees; it is about creating a clean, healthy and attractive town for our communities and future generations. We encourage everyone to take responsibility for the trees planted and ensure that they are protected and cared for until they grow,” the DPC remarked. The DPC further emphasized that environmental protection requires the participation of all stakeholders, noting that a clean and green town contributes to the wellbeing of residents and improves the general appearance of the urban area. The participation of the Uganda Police Force in the campaign reflects the Force's commitment to working closely with communities and other stakeholders beyond its traditional policing responsibilities. The Greening of Kagadi Town Campaign is expected to encourage continued tree planting, environmental conservation and community ownership of efforts aimed at making Kagadi a cleaner, greener and more sustainable town. The Uganda Police Force commended the organizers and called upon residents to maintain the momentum by planting and protecting trees around homes, institutions, roadsides and other suitable public spaces.
