Investors and council leaders pledge closer partnership for the new Kagadi
After the Mayor's address, investors, landlords and members of the council executive stayed on to discuss practical next steps for the New Kagadi Town Development Concept 2026-2050. Discussions covered land survey and plot numbering in the Central Business Area, road naming, drainage and culverts, tarmacking of selected streets, and the creation of fourteen physical planning zones each supported by seven-member Physical Plan Implementation Committees drawn from local leaders and community representatives. Participants also welcomed proposals for a training centre and satellite training centres, organised support to small-scale producers, and a local land-use and environmental strategy covering wetland protection, tree planting, recycling and improved waste disposal. Kagadi Town Council invites more businesses, professionals and development partners to join the Leaders, Landlords, Investors and Stakeholders Forum as it is formalised.
